Tyer Bio:

Daryl Eakins is an avid fly fisherman and fly designer with a focus on proportion and silhouette. For the most part he is often hanging with his family, stalking carp on a fly rod, or actively burning time behind the vise. Shortly after taking a fly-tying class and learning the importance of proportion and silhouette, carp fly design was close on the horizon. With attention to detail throughout his designs, all choices are made with intent and purpose resulting in flies that are durable, versatile, and productive. In addition to his carp designs, (of which three are now Umpqua Signature Patterns) he also ties large bucktail streamers for peacocks, dorado, and musky.  Daryl launched Nervous Water Flies in 2019 and offers his custom carp designs as well as bucktail streamers for warmwater species, trout, musky, dorado, and peacocks. You may have also heard his work on several IF4 selections as the Sound Designer and Mixer on Capture Media Adventures films, as well as the winning IF4 2019 film Midnight Mission. 
Daryl is currently a proud Umpqua Signature Tyer, Vicuna Dubbing Pro Team member, and Anadromous Fly-Fishing Ambassador.
